A group of year 7 students will be meeting regularly to draft entries for this year's Foyle Young Poets competition.

100 poets aged between 11 and 17 will be commended, with the top 15 announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in London, to which all shortlisted poets will be invited.

The deadline for entries is July 31st, and students will be provided with guidance until the end of the summer term, ensuring they have the best possible chance of receiving a commendation.

Wish them luck!
