On Thursday the 19th June 2014 students and staff, both present and past, joined together to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the opening of St Thomas More R.C. College.  Representatives from each form took part in the offertory presenting gifts to represent the college ethos and mission statement.  Head boy and girl Kaelan Rogers-Fallen and Elisha Snape led students in Bible readings and prayers of intercession, followed by a homily from Fr Kinsella celebrating the strong Catholic Ethos of the college throughout its existence.  The Mass was brought to a close by Head Teacher Miss Janet Burns who thanked all of those who attended and went on to commemorate the many achievements of students past and present.
During the week beginning 16th June students also enjoyed themed lessons and activities from all subjects celebrating the anniversary.  Students were given the opportunity to learn more about how school life has changed since 1964 as well as the way that life in Britain has changed in general.
